Ba-Boom

Today we made some more Thank You cards to send to keyworkers to show our appreciation for the jobs they are doing. The children decided they should be sent to the NHS, carers, shop workers, refuse collectors, vets, teachers, firefighters, police and essential services – gas, electricity and water. The children planned their card designs using just pencil drawings before completing their final designs in colour.

The children then took part in a playdough challenge, they had to think about what they wanted to make and then make it before the song ‘Happy’ finished. We then discussed if anyone had changed their minds during the song and if their idea had gone to plan and how that was like every day life, it doesn’t always go to plan.

We ended our day with some gardening and a new game called Ba-Boom. It took us a little while to get used to the rules but then it was LOTS of fun.
