This week in reception we have based our learning around the story Stickman. Prior to this week, we went on a stick hunt and gathered a variety of different sized sticks. We used these sticks to make our Stickmen and in our maths lesson used them to compare ‘short’ and ‘long’.
The children absolutely loved making their very own Stickmen from a variety of different materials – sticks, paint and pens. We also incorporated the story into our literacy learning by making a Wanted poster to find Stickman and writing simple sentences of where we would go if we was Stickman. Well done reception!
