In art this week reception have been learning about the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo who was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish and books. Each child brought in one fruit or vegetable that was placed in the middle of their art table. During circle time we looked at portraits of Giuseppe’s work to give the children inspiration in creating their own self portraits. All the children did a fantastic painting! Well done reception!
