This week Year 1 have been looking at the Sculptors: Eva Rothschild (who used sticks and marshmallows), Jill Townsley (who used spoons and elastic bands) and Marc Quinn (who used bread). The children were then challenged to work with a partner to reach the goal of assembling a sculpture. One group tried creating sculptures made out of bread dough; one group used spoons and elastic bands and three groups used different sized marshmallows and different sized sticks, all with the challenge of making their sculpture 3D! Some amazing ideas and teamwork Year 1!
