In Nursery the children received a letter from Sidney the Squirrel. He had a problem and asked the children if they could help him find his acorns. Sidney explained that the weather is getting colder and he has been collecting his acorns to store for the winter. But he had lost some the total of ten acorns. The children said they would help and become detectives. They searched all the outside areas and found all the acorns. Next they helped sort the acorns into number order. When they came back into class Sidney was so happy he left a book for the children about Sidney and his friends “Sidney the Squirrel”. The children enjoyed the story and sat down for snack as they had worked so hard.
