Year 5 pupils…
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you all had a wonderful easter break and managed to get away either to the countryside or on a holiday to far away seas. I hope you are looking forward to the summer term and the warmth that it brings. I was extremely impressed with the work that our class produced last term and I’m excited to see the new ways that they can present their learning and progression. Our P.E lessons will now be on a Tuesday and a Wednesday (changed from Monday and Tuesday), so please ensure that your child has a P.E kit on both of these days. The class will now be covered by Mrs Sutton on a thursday afternoon, where they will continue to study Science and R.E.
Homework tasks will continue to be posted on the google classroom on Fridays and will be due on Thursday. There will be two sheets, one creative and one focussed on academics. Please complete one grid per week. You may complete a grid from both sheets if you wish. There will also be a set of 10 spellings to learn each week, which the children will be tested on.
Our theme this term is ‘Roaming the Rainforest’, where we will look at the Yanomami tribe tribe of South America. In geography, we will be continuing to look at North and South America, its climate and the physical and natural geography of the continents.
If you have any queries or concerns, please speak with me at the end of the day or call the office and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
