Year 6 pupils…
A warm welcome back to all of Year 6 and their parents/carers. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year and a well-deserved rest!
The class will have P.E. on Mondays and Tuesdays this term and will be expected to remember their complete kit each week. On a Thursday, as in the Autumn Term, Ms. Jones will take the class whilst I have my PPA time. We will continue to use chromebooks as a regular tool in lessons; please help your child to ensure it is fully charged each day.
Our theme this term is ‘Rich and Poor’, focusing on life during Victorian Britain and the rise of the British Empire. We will study The Industrial Revolution and how this impacted, not only the lives at the time, but our lives today.
I’d like to invite you to our class assembly on Thursday 2nd February at 9am. This offers us the opportunity to share some of the fantastic learning that has been taking place since we started the year.
A second date for your diary this term (and VERY important): Monday 27th March – our trip to Warner Brothers Studios!
I am sure that the children will continue to work hard and excel this term. As always, if you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me via the school office.
