Reception and Nursery have been watching keenly over the last few weeks as our caterpillars got bigger and then built a cocoon around themselves, and turned into butterflies. Today was the release day, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar story on the field and then released them in the garden and waved goodbye as they flew away.
